Drake Institute of Women’s Policy

A Think & Do Tank for the Modern Woman.

Our Work

Our exclusive membership network for modern women in policy, politics, and advocacy. Members gain access to insider briefings, visibility opportunities, curated trainings, and invitations to exclusive social and professional events.

Our Why

Through our policy and civic engagement work, we center the needs of women and girls from low- and middle-income households—working on behalf of the 25 million too often left out of national conversations.

Our Way

Our innovative policy development approach known as Reality-Based Experiences Advancing Legislation (REAL) is a gamechanger. We use immersive simulations and interactive case studies to bring policy to life. Our upcoming project, Birthing While Black, is an example of the experiential learning tools that Drake uses to reveal systemic inequities and equip changemakers with the insight, context, and data needed to design effective policy and lead with clarity.

A Think & Do Tank for the Modern Woman

We don’t just study the issues. We mobilize women to shape the future.

The Drake Institute of Women’s Policy is a dynamic think and do tank driving real-world impact through research, advocacy, and community power. From voter engagement to public policy and leadership development, we equip modern women with the tools, network, and visibility they need to address the root causes and symptoms of poverty through public service—domestically.

Our Publications

We produce sharp, accessible policy briefs, toolkits, and case studies that center the realities of women and girls across low- and middle-income households. Grounded in data and informed by lived experience, our publications drive conversations that shift culture and shape legislation.

Exposing the consequences of policies shaped by privilege—not the people.
